Built for Project Vote Smart, VoteEasy is an interactive online tool that helps voters determine which political candidates most accurately reflect their own views. Voters first select their states and districts; they are then presented with a full slate of candidates lined up on a grassy field. VoteEasy then leads voters through a series of prompts, asking their opinions on a range of issues, including healthcare, taxes, abortion, and gun control. As answers are processed, the candidates who most closely align with them move to the foreground, while those who hold opposing views recede. VoteEasy also enables voters to learn more about any of the candidates, distilling voting history, endorsements, and biographical information into an accessible visualization of complex data.
