In this video installation, the digital image of a runner is projected on urban walls and surfaces from inside of a moving car. The runner’s speed, as well as his jumps and directions, are also controlled remotely, rendering the movement lifelike and unpredictable. The Virtual Free Runner echoes the art of parkour, or freerunning, in which the obstacles and surfaces of the urban space are navigated and moved through in an organic way.
