EyePet is a game for PlayStation 3 and its Move motion-sensing controller. From the moment they hatch, the energetic gremlin-like creatures become virtual companions that can be customized and interacted with via the Move motion controller sticks, using augmented reality technology. Interestingly, the basic possibilities of interaction—recognizing objects and playing with them, executing some “physical” routines—bring to mind another revolutionary "pet from outer space," the Sony AIBO robotic dogs first introduced in 1999.
