In conjunction with the home-movie exhibition Private Lives Public Spaces and the Department of Education’s January 11 Home Movie Day event, we’re presenting a weekend of special screenings, including works by cinema artists Stan Brakhage and Ken Jacobs; the landmark 1966 Navajo Film Themselves series; and three programs of amateur films drawn from the National Film Registry, introduced by Dwight Swanson and Katie Trainor, founding members of the Center for Home Movies.

Organized by Ron Magliozzi, Curator, Katie Trainor, Film Collections Manager, and Emma Friedman-Buchanan, Intern, Department of Film, The Museum of Modern Art; and Dwight Swanson, The Center for Home Movies.
