David Rockefeller Award Luncheon
MoMA’s David Rockefeller Award is presented annually to an individual who exemplifies enlightened generosity and advocacy of cultural and civic endeavors. The Luncheon provides valuable support for MoMA’s Department of Education, which offers outstanding programs for families, adults, community organizations, school groups, educators, and visitors with disabilities at little to no cost.
Party in the Garden
MoMA’s annual Party in the Garden is the Museum’s biggest fundraiser of the year—and one of New York City’s most celebrated benefit events. Guests are invited to cocktails in the Museum’s celebrated Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden, followed by dinner. The evening concludes with a lively after-party for over 1,000 guests.
Film Benefit
The annual Film Benefit enables continued support of MoMA’s Department of Film collection. Founded in 1935 as the Film Library, it is recognized as the strongest international film collection in the US, with a catalog of over 30,000 international films and four million film stills drawn from all periods and genres.
Previous honorees of the Film Benefit include Tom Hanks, Cate Blanchett, Alfonso Cuarón, Tilda Swinton, Quentin Tarantino, Pedro Almodóvar, Kathryn Bigelow, Tim Burton, and Baz Luhrmann.
The Black Arts Council Benefit
A Night Out with Friends is an annual benefit supporting The Black Arts Council’s mission to fund MoMA’s programming, acquisitions, and exhibitions created by Black and African diaspora artists. Additionally, all proceeds from the evening allow the group to provide integral support to the Museum’s educational initiatives. The evening brings together cultural tastemakers in art, music, and philanthropy to celebrate our honorees.
