The Adobe Creative Residency at MoMA awards a yearlong, sponsored residency to a New York City–based artist with a demonstrated commitment to engaging communities as part of their practice. Administered through MoMA’s Department of Learning and Engagement, this initiative provides vital resources—including mentorship, access to the Museum’s archives and resources, curatorial guidance, and staff expertise—for the resident artist to realize a community-engaged project. The Adobe Creative Residency concludes with the presentation of this public initiative, which will engage the resident’s chosen collaborators, invested constituencies, and the wider public.
This collaboration is part of Adobe x Museums, a new global initiative by the Adobe Foundation to elevate diverse voices and support the next generation of creators through partnerships with world-renowned art institutions, including The Museum of Modern Art and the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
