Virtual Views: Garrett Bradley’s America
How do you tell a story of the journey if much of the archive is lost? Explore the work of artist and filmmaker Garrett Bradley as she re-envisions Black history. Join us at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, for a live Q&A with Bradley, whose film installation America is currently on view at MoMA, and Thelma Golden, director and chief curator of The Studio Museum in Harlem. And as part of our virtual offerings, watch Bradley’s introduction to the layered archives of her acclaimed films America and Time, read about the lost history of cinema, participate in visual storytelling workshops, and more.
