  • MoMA, Floor 1, Art Lab The Samuel and Ronnie Heyman Family Art Lab

Step into a space where "What if?" and "I wonder…" lead the way. The Samuel and Ronnie Heyman Family Art Lab is an interactive space where kids and adults can experiment, play, and create. In this edition, make a creature, build a whimsical world, discover hidden portals and take inspiration from artworks in MoMA's collection. All ages are welcome.

Art Lab: Imagination will open on Monday, October 19, with early access for MoMA Members at the Access category and above on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18. Art Lab will then be open daily, 10:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m, and is included with Museum admission (free for ages 16 and under).

Art Lab is designed for individual family visits. Adults must stay with children at all times. Community groups interested in visiting are welcome to contact us to arrange a private, scheduled visit.

To get to the Heyman Family Art Lab, walk across the Sculpture Garden or down the corridor on the second floor of the Museum (past Café 2), then downstairs to the first floor of the Education and Research Building.

Accessibility

Seating in the space includes benches and stools without backs.


All-gender and family restrooms are located in the Cullman Mezzanine.
