“History doesn’t move in a straight line,” artist An-My Lê has said. Since the 1990s Lê has explored the layered temporalities of war, from preparatory rehearsals of future combat to the psychic impact it has on our collective memory. Join Roxana Marcoci, The David Dechman Senior Curator and acting chief curator of Photography, and Caitlin Ryan, assistant curator in the Department of Photography, for a live online conversation about the circularity of time and the fluidity of history as seen through the lens of Lê’s impactful photographs, moving images, textiles, and installations.
