Our June Drop-in Drawing program is facilitated by cartoonist and Drawn to MoMA contributor Ellen Lindner, and takes place in the exhibition Susan Rothenberg.
Explore artworks through drawing in this relaxed drop-in session for all ages. Materials and seating are provided. Admission is free and open to all, with no experience or ability required. Meet on Floor 2, in the Donald and Catherine Marron Family Atrium.
Ellen Lindner (she/her/hers) is a cartoonist living in Upper Manhattan. She has created comics for The Museum of Modern Art, The Lily, Medium.com, World War III Illustrated, and many anthologies and collections. Ellen is also the author of two graphic novels, Undertow and The Black Feather Falls. She is currently working on Lost Diamonds, an ongoing comics project about gender and baseball, which was a Society of Illustrators/MoCCA Award of Excellence winner in 2022. Ellen’s activist art is in the collection of the National Museum of African American History and Culture, part of the Smithsonian, and her illustration clients include McGraw Hill, Dotdash Meredith, Workman Publishing, Ray-Ban, Sony Playstation, Narrative.ly, and the City of New York. She is a two-time LMCC Creative Learning grant winner for her work in comics education.
