A sequel to the pulsating and critically acclaimed On the Job (2013), a crime thriller following prison inmates who are secretly let out to perform assassinations, this equally riveting new work introduces an independent narrative of epic scale to unravel the corruption and violence in modern Philippines. Crooked journalist Sisoy Salas is hardly one to defend justice, but when eight people in his close circle go missing, he finds himself confronting a sprawling web of criminal activities in a world where the media spews fake news, politicians act as gangsters, and prisoners make for the perfect assassins. John Arcilla’s gripping lead performance won him the Best Actor award at the Venice Film Festival.
