Eloise (Thomasin McKenzie), a shy teenager, moves from the countryside to London to attend fashion school, only to find it’s nothing like the storied “swinging” metropolis she’s been dreaming of for years. But when she moves out of the dorms and into an old attic bedroom, she finds that at night she’s mysteriously able to slip into the 1960s London of her dreams. In this alternate realm, she becomes obsessed with the glamorous Sandy (Anya Taylor-Joy), an aspiring young singer whose promising life rapidly begins to unravel, causing Eloise to unravel too. Dizzyingly stylish, pulsing with color, sound, and period setpieces, Last Night in Soho is a true cinematic spectacle.
