Join us for an ocean-inspired movement workshop led by Eva Dean. Participants learn some of Eva Dean Dance’s signature “Dolphin” movements using yoga balls and participate in a free-spirited, improvisational “Beach Party” in this gentle, 45-minute program. Please wear clothes you can move in comfortably.
Eva Dean is a dancer and choreographer who founded Eva Dean Dance, a Brooklyn-based “neo-contemporary” dance company. Dean, who views herself as a “movement experimentalist,” uses boots, balls, recycled materials, and architectural design to enhance her artistic vision. Site-specific works and family-audience productions are among the company's specialties, and they have enjoyed the challenge of creating work for various landscapes, from empty swimming pools to staircases.
Sign up at the MoMA Art Lab desk 30 minutes before the workshop begins. Please note: you may attend only one session. Free with Museum admission.
