Develop a new relationship with paper! Join us to make paper weavings and sculptures, envelope books, and puppets with Kathy Sirico, teaching artist with Materials for the Arts. Envision new artistic uses for paper and recontextualize the original packaging, printing, text, colors, and shapes.
Materials for the Arts is New York City's premier re-use facility, saving millions of dollars worth of materials from the waste stream and re-donating them to artists, schools, and non-profit arts organizations across New York City to support their practice. Materials for the Arts advocates for creative re-use through education programs, artist residencies, art shows, and community events that celebrate making art with the free sustainably re-usable materials around us.
