This special edition of Writing Club is organized in collaboration with 2026 Adobe Creative Resident Lizania Cruz. This series consists of two sessions: once in person at MoMA and once online via Zoom.
Cruz facilitates this Writing Club series focusing on artworks by Rirkrit Tiravanija currently on view in Gallery 209: Things Are Wandering. Inspired by Cruz’s practice, we’ll experiment with writing as a means of drawing connections between artworks, communities, and global networks. This session takes place in person at MoMA.
Lizania Cruz is a Dominican participatory artist and designer who interrogates systemic issues embedded in the public sphere by investigating constructions of belonging and otherness. These inquiries have led her to study the formations of language, mythmaking, and documented histories. Through long-term, participatory projects, Cruz creates multimedia sculptural installations, photography, video, publications, and happenings that blend conceptual art with design thinking.
