Join Evangelos Kotsioris, MoMA curator and newly appointed Director of the Emilio Ambasz Institute for the Joint Study of the Built and the Natural Environment, and Curatorial Associate Paula Vilaplana de Miguel for a virtual celebration of The Many Lives of the Nakagin Capsule Tower.

Learn about this radical experiment in urban living, how it came to become the most representative icon of Japan’s Metabolist architecture movement, and anticipated contemporary discussions on designing for disassembly. Plus, enjoy a behind-the-scenes look of MoMA’s capsule A1305 trip from Tokyo to New York, as well as a virtual tour of the building’s three-dimensional model—normally an in-gallery exclusive at the Museum.
