Join Ann Temkin, the Marie-Josée and Henry Kravis Chief Curator of Painting and Sculpture, for a behind-the-scenes look at the many surprises uncovered by the exhibition Lillie P. Bliss and the Birth of the Modern and the recent publication Inventing The Modern: Untold Stories Of The Women Who Shaped The Museum of Modern Art. Discover the women behind MoMA’s founding and how their legacies continue to inspire and inform the Museum’s mission, reminding us of their pivotal role in shaping the landscape of modern art.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the conversation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Please enter through the Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Education and Research Building at 4 W 54th Street. Advance registration is required and capacity is limited.
