This round of Staff Picks takes inspiration from our current exhibition Judson Dance Theater: The Work Is Never Done. Collaboration thrived in the spaces Judson artists created for themselves throughout downtown New York in the early 1960s. Choreographers, visual artists, composers, and filmmakers created a community around participating in one another’s work, and in the process redefined what counted as dance. With that spirit in mind, Museum staff members looked to the collection for works that illustrate the magic of creating together and being inspired by one another.
