Joana Avillez

How does an artist capture a day at MoMA? We invited illustrator and New Yorker Joana Avillez to come to the Museum and document her experience however she saw fit. Her drawings inaugurate our series Drawn to MoMA, where various artists will share their own visions of life at the Museum.

Joana Avillez is an illustrator who draws, writes, and lives in New York. D C-T!, her book of visual text puzzles co-authored with Molly Young, was published by Penguin Press in 2018.
