Home is where the art is.
To make these sculptures, Robert Indiana used materials he found at home and outside. He lived in an old building near New York City’s East River.
He found one piece of wood next door, in the art studio of his friend, Jack Youngerman. He found more wood at construction sites in their neighborhood.
