In 1926 Sharon arrived in Dessau, Germany, to enroll in the Bauhaus Vorkurs, a preliminary course for all students of the Bauhaus school of art and design. His drawings were artistic exercises rather than standalone artworks, and they demonstrate the hands-on teaching approach of his teachers Paul Klee and Vasily Kandinsky, who trained students in the fundamental subjects of color, composition, and materials. In 1931 Sharon left the Bauhaus and moved to Palestine, where he established an architecture office and eventually served as head of the Government Planning Department of the newly founded state of Israel.
