The Marie-Josée and Henry Kravis Studio provides a key platform for artists experimenting with new art forms, building on MoMA’s long history of supporting and presenting performance and media art. This unique, dedicated space for performance, located at the center of the Museum’s fourth-floor collection galleries, is activated throughout the year with adventurous commissions, festivals, residencies, installations, workshops, and more.

Exhibitions

The Kravis Studio 2024 season is organized by Stuart Comer, The Lonti Ebers Chief Curator of Media and Performance; Ana Janevski, Curator; Martha Joseph, The Phyllis Ann and Walter Borten Assistant Curator of Media and Performance; Erica Papernik-Shimizu, Associate Curator, Department of Media and Performance; and Sophie Cavoulacos, Associate Curator, Department of Film; with May Makki, Curatorial Assistant, Gee Wesley, Curatorial Assistant, and Lilia Rocio Taboada, Curatorial Assistant, Department of Media and Performance. Produced by Lizzie Gorfaine, Associate Director and Producer, and Kate Scherer, Senior Manager and Producer; with Nora Chellew, Jessie Gold, Aminah Ibrahim, Olivia Rousey, and Kayva Yang, Assistant Performance Coordinators, Performance and Live Programs. The Technical team is led by Paul DiPietro, Senior Manager, Audio Visual Design and Live Performance, with AV Technicians Omer Leibovitz (sound), Christopher Brown (lighting), and Mitchell Leitschuh (installation and rigging).
