Over the past 10 years, the artists gathered here have looked prismatically at the world to present new perspectives on contemporary experience. Featuring grids, patterns, and crisply defined forms, many of the works in this gallery were made using structured systems while demonstrating how such constraints can result in dreamlike and alternative forms of creative expression. “It is through this structure of logic that I explore the contradictions and conflicts in society, and try to build a structure of condensed harmony,” artist Suki Seokyeong Kang once said. “I wish to portray the anxiety of the present while also nurturing a hope for the future.”
