Kathryn Crosby, Bing Crosby’s widow, is also fondly remembered as the actress Kathryn Grant. She returns to New York with her one-woman multimedia show Kathryn Crosby Remembers Bing. On October 18, Crosby will introduce her husband’s favorite film, High Society, 50 years after its first release. Cole Porter’s MGM musical was one of the most eagerly awaited films of 1956, reuniting (after 1954’s The Country Girl) Bing Crosby with Grace Kelly—who had announced her engagement to Prince Rainier of Monaco and imminent retirement from the screen.
