Mark Lombardi: Death-Defying Acts of Art and Conspiracy. 2011. Germany. Directed by Mareike Wegener

In her comprehensive documentary on American Neo-Conceptual artist Mark Lombardi (1951–2000), Mareike Wegener examines Lombardi's life, art, and untimely death through interviews with his close friends, family members, fellow artists, and gallerists. Lombardi's complex pencil diagrams were quickly gaining art-world recognition when he was found hanged in his apartment, an apparent suicide, under suspicious circumstances. Organized by Sally Berger, Assistant Curator, Department of Film.
