MoMA Premiere: New Skin for the Old Ceremony

New Skin for the Old Ceremony is a compilation of short moving-image pieces set to the music and lyrics of Leonard Cohen’s 1974 album of the same title. Organized by Cohen’s daughter, Lorca, and Darin Klein, Programs Coordinator, Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, the film comprises pieces—by Brent Green, Alex Da Corte, Weston Currie, Theo Angell, Christian Holstad, Sylvan and Lily Lanken, Lucky Dragons, Kelly Sears, Brett Milspaw, Peter Coffin, and Tina Tyrell—that mirror the album’s original track listing.
