In conjunction with the P.S.1 exhibition 1969, MoMA presents a selection of films from the year 1969. Exploring a cross-section of films made during a period marked by revolution and sociopolitical tumult, this program includes some of that year’s most adventurous films. The program includes the countercultural classic Easy Rider, Andy Warhol’s rarely seen and controversial Blue Movie, and avant-garde films such as Walter De Maria’s Hardcore, Standish Lawder’s Necrology, and Michael Snow’s Back and Forth.
