The Museum of Modern Art Library is frequented by artists who use the collection for research and inspiration. For this exhibition, a group of artists were asked to select a favorite item from the library collection and respond to a questionnaire written by library staff. This exhibition includes the selected materials, each accompanied by the artist’s explanation of why they chose the selected material and what it means within the context of their artistic practice. Selections will rotate halfway through the exhibition’s duration in order to feature a wide range of artists.
