“I spent the summer of 2020 confined to my 25th floor midtown apartment. It was the first summer of COVID-19, yet below me, despite the city’s shelter-in-place orders, construction was starting on a new high rise. I didn’t go searching for this movie. It presented itself to me. I filmed for the next few months until the building became too tall for me to see what was going on”. Jamie Nares
