Yannick Bellon had roots in documentary filmmaking—her mother was the noted photographer Denise Bellon, the subject of a portrait she made with Chris Marker in 2001—and she brought unsentimental compassion and astute psychology to her fiction work. In Nevermore, Forever, her sister Loleh, an award-winning actress and playwright in her own right, stars opposite Bulle Ogier in a beautiful, touching drama about friendship, memory, loss, and the talismans we leave behind.
