Join the MoMA Teens Film Club for a free screening of The Devil Wears Prada with the film’s costume designer, Molly Rogers.
This beloved comedy-drama stars Meryl Streep as the powerful New York City fashion editor Miranda Priestly, and Anne Hathaway as Andrea “Andy” Sachs, a college graduate who lands a job as Priestly’s co-assistant. The story delves into the harsh realities of the fashion industry, as Andy navigates challenges, temptations, and transformations while trying to balance her career and personal life.
The screening will be followed by a conversation and audience Q&A with costume designer Molly Rogers. We will explore the art of costume design and Rogers’s process for crafting the looks in The Devil Wears Prada and the many other films and TV projects in her vast portfolio, including Sex and the City, Ugly Betty, and Confessions of a Shopaholic.
After the screening and conversation, there will be a post-film mixer with complimentary food, activities, and music from 7:45 to 9:00 p.m.
This event is free but registration is required. This program is for folks ages 15–22.
