Please join us for The Museum of Modern Art’s bimonthly program for individuals who are Deaf or hard of hearing. Each program includes a sign language–interpreted gallery talk focusing on one of MoMA’s exhibitions, along with a wine and cheese reception.
In August, we will explore the exhibition Chosen Memories: Contemporary Latin American Art from the Patricia Phelps de Cisneros Gift and Beyond. “History is a living organism,” said the Brazilian artist Rosângela Rennó, one of the 40 artists featured in the exhibition. Together with curatorial assistant Julia Detchon, we will take a multisensory journey to discuss how contemporary Latin American artists address history and memory in their work.
Interpreting MoMA is free of charge. Space is limited and advance registration is required.
