Three roommates propose to the same woman, who accepts all three, in this comedic short made by one of Hollywood’s leading directors in the early years of filmmaking. Weber was a frontrunner in using film for cultural impact and focusing on social issues. Preserved during the first grant year of NYWIFT’S Women’s Film Preservation Fund.

Screenplay by Frances Marion. With Lillian Gish. Miss Gish plays a fragile young women who moves from the East Coast to an unforgiving environment where the forces of nature rule. Transformed by tragedy, Gish’s character survives Mother Nature’s wrath. Mary Lea Bandy and Lillian Gish joined forces to establish the Lillian Gish Trust for Film Preservation at MoMA, which supported the conservation of this film. Vitaphone music and effects.
