This highly imaginative debut film recreates the hustle and bustle of Old Delhi based on interviews with a wide range of individuals, including street vendors, pickpockets, rickshaw pullers, and day laborers. The result is a riotous, playful sensory overload—much like Old Delhi itself. Unburdened by cinematic conventions, veteran theater director Anamika Haksar takes advantage of complete creative freedom to construct a daring experimental work that glides seamlessly between realism and surrealism.
