The Manhattan Borough Arts Festival Visual Arts Exhibit presents work created by New York City public school students from pre-K through 12th grade, all of whom attend school in Manhattan. This year’s show includes 124 pieces representing 73 classrooms and 51 schools. The students’ artist statements speak to the resilience and creativity that has buoyed them throughout the last two years of learning in a pandemic. Both their work and their words reflect not only mastery of product, but also a depth of knowledge around process, and a self-awareness that will shape them as artists for years to come.
Organized in partnership with the NYC DOE Office of Arts and Special Projects.
