Punk will never die, because there will always be teenagers. Klara and Bobo are spiky haired best friends who can’t seem to fit in at their school—and they don’t want to. After unsuccessfully asking the band playing in the community center to keep it down, Klara and Bobo discover the band never reserved the time slot, so the girls can take over the space and play their instruments. And so begins their own journey as a band. Perfectly in tune with a punk ethos, Swedish filmmaker Lukas Moodysson (Show Me Love) directs with a light touch, letting the unbridled charisma of the characters shine.

This film accompanies Magnolia Pictures at 20.
