The MoMA PS1 exhibition Marking Time: Art in the Age of Mass Incarceration was recently named one of the “Most Important Moments in Art in 2020” by the New York Times. Join us to hear more about the exhibition from its curator, Dr. Nicole R. Fleetwood, and featured artist Tameca Cole. Focusing on Cole’s experiences and multifaceted art practice, their conversation, moderated by assistant curator Josephine Graf, will consider the impact of mass incarceration on creative work and how art can function as a form of resistance.
After the program, see the exhibition during extended member-only hours at MoMA PS1 (Thursday, January 28, 4:00–8:00 p.m.). Be sure to reserve your timed ticket in advance.
