Berlin-based artist Theo Eshetu and Smooth Nzewi, curator in the Department of Painting and Sculpture, discuss Eshetu’s outsider status, interests in rituals, and the 1980s television culture that inspired Eshetu’s video installation Till Death Us Do Part. The recently resuscitated work, which was out of circulation for 32 years, is currently on view in Gallery 206. Join us on MoMA’s Instagram Live.
