Over a period of 35 years between 1984 and 2019, Lynne Sachs shot 8mm and 16mm film, videotape, and digital images with her father, Ira Sachs Sr., a bohemian businessman from Park City, Utah. For Sachs, her film “bears witness to the familial tensions that arose from my attempt to understand the web that connects a child to her parent and a sister to her siblings, some of whom I have known all their lives, others I only recently discovered.”

This film accompanies Doc Fortnight 2020: MoMA’s Festival of International Nonfiction Film and Media.
