Lying somewhere between Jacques Tati, Milos Forman, and Harold Pinter, Davide Maldi’s witheringly funny depiction of an overly starched Italian hospitality school for aspiring young waiters and maîtres d’hôtel finds its accidental class rebel in one Luca Tofano, a peasant boy of considerable charms—and gracelessness.
