Join us for an interdisciplinary discussion exploring the practice of the Studio Museum's 2018–2019 artist in residence Allison Janae Hamilton. Hamilton joins filmmaker Ja’Tovia Gary for a conversation moderated by musicologist Dr. Matthew Morrison for a rich dialogue addressing the myriad of social, historical, and geographical references informing Hamilton’s latest body of work created for MOOD. The conversation highlights intersecting points of site-specificity in the panelists’ work and concludes with an informal Q&A.
