In this gentle comedy about fidelity, fantasy, and the fickleness of fate—which premiered at the New York and Toronto Film Festivals and won the top screenwriting prize at San Sebastian—director, cowriter (with Jean-Claude Carrière), and brooding heartthrob Louis Garrel stars as Abel, a hapless journalist and hopeless romantic who reunites with an old flame (Laetitia Casta), suddenly widowed some nine years after leaving him to marry his best friend.
