Join author and assistant curator, Department of Drawings and Prints, Samantha Friedman as she reads from her new children's book for MoMA, Matisse’s Garden. Listen to the story of how the endlessly curious artist used scissors and painted paper to create a colorful new form of art.

Following the reading, create your own Matisse-inspired cut-outs. The reading and activity will be followed by a book signing. Ages 4+
