The third of four films in which Bogart and Bacall costarred, this crime drama follows Vincent Parry’s journey to clear his name of a murder charge. With the help of a sympathetic taxi driver, Parry is introduced to a plastic surgeon who dramatically alters his face. With a new visage, Parry endeavors to reclaim his innocence, but he soon comes to realize he’s in too deep with some very shady people.
