In the final weeks of the exhibition, MoMA’s Marron Atrium hosts the New York–based Movement Research (MR), one of the world’s leading laboratories for the investigation of dance and movement-based forms. At the Museum, MR offers classes, workshops, and discursive events, transforming the Atrium into a space for creative process and education.
Taught by MR’s internationally recognized faculty, Physical Inquiry and Somatic Practices Classes explore specific techniques to expand and cultivate an understanding of the moving body.
Free and open to everyone ages 18 and over. Space is limited and registration is required to participate. Registration is available online and in person on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that these classes may involve physical contact with other participants. Please wear comfortable clothes. Most classes will be conducted without shoes.
