Ray and John Biddle are captured after robbing a gas station, but not before John is shot by the police. At the prison hospital, John is going to die unless Dr. Luther Brooks attends to him, but Ray refuses to let a black doctor treat his brother. Despite Ray’s objections, Brooks works on John but is unable to save him. The bigoted Ray cries murder and vows vengeance.
