Sassy, wisecracking Ginger Rogers leads her upper-crust boarding-school roommate Frances Dee down the path of sin in this sex-obsessed melodrama, which just barely reached American theaters before the Hays censors took over. Distinguished for her screenwriting contributions to major MGM and RKO films, including Show People, Hallelujah!, The Champ, and Little Women, Wanda Tuchock was only the second woman, together with Dorothy Arzner, to be credited as a director on a Hollywood movie in the 1930s.
