International silent film had many comedy teams, from the world-famous duo of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy to such neglected figures as Little Moritz and Rosalie, and Lyons and Moran. This program profiles the three most popular duos: Laurel and Hardy, John Bunny and Flora Finch, and the Danish team of Pat and Patachon. Although their Nordic humor never made it to America, Pat and Patachon were a much-loved team who bridged silence to sound in a 20-year career that lasted to 1940.
Piano accompaniment by Shari Cummings (November 29) and Ben Model (December 2). Program Approx. 100 min.
