Marking the culmination of their VW Dome Artist Residency, New York-based choreographers and performers Laurel Atwell and Jessica Cook present Tundra Body Baby. Over the course of their six-week residency, Atwell and Cook workshopped emerging ideas and built on existing material. Harnessing the architecture of the VW Dome, they examined the art of merging their separate creative processes on neutral ground.
Now in its third year, the VW Dome Artist Residency offers artists space, time, and resources to generate new ideas and experiment. The open format allows artists to create new content, collaborate, workshop new gestures or concepts, and respond directly to the unique space of the VW Dome. Previous artists-in-residence include Moriah Evans, Gillian Walsh, Phoebe Berglund, Kim Brandt, and Nikima Jagudajev.
Free with museum admission.
