Return of the Fly. 1959. USA. Written and directed by Edward L. Bernds. Based on the story by George Langelaan. With Vincent Price, Brett Halsey, David Frankham. 35mm print. 80 min.

15 years after his father’s death, Philippe wants to move ahead with his teleportation experiments. Uncle François opposes Philippe’s wishes, but when Philippe threatens to sell his half of the family business to raise the money, Uncle François relents. Given his father’s grisly fate, you have to wonder why Philippe doesn’t stay away from the transporter machine! Unlike The Fly (1958), this sequel was shot in black and white by cinematographer Brydon Baker, who specialized in photographing Westerns.
